Michelle Lorenzo of KTVN News 2 reports there's a high demand for veterinary services according to the Washoe County Regional Animal Services. The need could have been prompted by the coronavirus.
Denise Stevens of Options Veterinary Care says pets are part of people's family, which is why its a priority for the clinic to provide affordable care. However it could take several weeks for an animal to see a doctor an many clinics in the Reno-Sparks area. Wait times could range up to four weeks at most places. Options is also looking to hire more staff members to assist with need.
