Angel Fund major supporters

Options' Angel Fund provides very low-cost or free veterinary service for pets who are in desperate need of help but whose owners cannot afford even our low costs. The following people and foundations have made significant donations toward this fund.

  • Petco Love — Petco Love’s mission is to create a better world for animals and the people who love and need them. We are grateful for Petco Love’s generous support that enables Options nonprofit clinic to help many pets in need who would otherwise suffer without care. Petco Love has created a national lost and found database for pets to reunite lost pets with their people. It's free and easy to use. Learn more and join the initiative by visiting https://lost.petcolove.org/.

  • Sandra Powell Trust — Sandra Powell, PhD, died at 81 in February 2021. Sandy's greatest love was spending time with her dogs — camping and hiking. She retired to Reno from the Bay Area after a long career as a professor of political science at San Fransisco State University. Her trust made a generous donation to Options Veterinary Care to help dogs who are owned by senior citizens and veterans who cannot otherwise afford needed care.

  • SPCA of Northern Nevada — The SPCA of Northern Nevada established Reno/Sparks' first no-kill animal center in 1998. Learn more at spcanevada.org.

  • Lifestyle Homes Foundation — Lifestyle Homes Foundation in Reno, Nevada has supported animal rescue and spay-neuter programs since 2003.

  • Joey and Rose Fund — Started by a generous donor Gloria in honor of her two cats, Joey and Rose (seen in the photo to the right), this fund provides help up to $500 for cats and dogs of seniors 65 or older who face financial barriers in getting necessary treatment for their pets. Anyone can donate to the fund to extend its impact. Just make a donation — use the donation box on this page — and be sure to put "Joey and Rose" in the comment field. â€‹
