Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. With your help, we’re able to reach more pets who might not otherwise receive critical care. No matter your background or experience, we provide training and guidance to set you up for success—and some roles may even be completed remotely.

Opportunities to get involved include:

• Welcoming and assisting clients

• Taking phone messages and returning calls

• Monitoring pets recovering from surgery

• Cleaning surgical instruments or helping with laundry

• Supporting programs like foster care, spay/neuter, and other services using your organizational or management skills

• Representing Options at events or helping with fundraising efforts

By volunteering, you become part of a dedicated team working to ensure every pet has a chance at a healthy life. It’s hands-on, rewarding work where your time truly matters—and your impact is immediate and lasting.

Options Veterinary Care is fully equipped with advanced tools, including X-ray, diagnostic, dental, and surgical facilities. We care for dogs, cats, and occasionally other small pets, offering services such as preventive medicine, illness and injury treatment, surgery when needed, dental care, spay/neuter, and client education. As a program of Humane Network, a Reno-based nonprofit, we’re proud to be part of a larger mission to improve animal welfare.
