Options Veterinary Care Celebrates Fifth Anniversary with Community Open House on 12/09/2025

Options Veterinary Care is thrilled to invite the community to its Fifth Anniversary Open House on Tuesday, December 9, from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm, at 4690 Longley Lane, Suite 1, Reno.


The celebration will include refreshments, fun activities, a food truck, and guided tours of the clinic, offering visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the compassionate and affordable care OPTIONS provides to pets and families in Northern Nevada.


At 2:00 pm, guests can enjoy remarks from Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, Councilwoman Naomi Duerr, and Commissioner Mariluz Garcia, followed by a casual reception and time to connect with the OPTIONS team.


“This milestone is about celebrating our community and the thousands of pets and families we’ve helped over the past five years,” said President and Co-Founder Bonney Brown. “We’re honored to share this day with everyone who has supported our mission.”

1:30 pm - Celebration and open house begin

2 to 2:40 pm - Remarks

• Welcome and opening remarks from Options Veterinary Care

• Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve

• County Commissioner Mariluz Garcia

• City Council woman Naomi Duerr

• Honoring Janice Watson - Gary Edwards remarks

1:30 to 6:30 pm - Festivities

• Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck – free coffee with coupons for first 125 guests

• Silver State Pie Company Truck – savory and sweet pies

• Light refreshments (free while they last)

• Raffle (drawing will be after the conclusion of the event and winners will be notified and published on Options website and facebook page.

• Squeekee the Klown will twist balloons

• Washoe County Regional Animal Services free pet tags (until 4pm)

• Options information table with freebies/giveaways

• Peggy Rew, Author/Educator will be selling her coloring books

• Clinic tours 3 to 6 pm

6:30 Event concludes

Options is a nonprofit clinic serving Northern Nevada that provides quality, affordable, and accessible spay/neuter services and veterinary care options for pets and community cats in order to keep pets and families together and support a humane community. We rely on donations from the community to help pets who would otherwise suffer without veterinary care. Options is a program of the Reno, Nevada based nonprofit organization Humane Network.​​
